I hate my thesis.

More to the point, I hate that I can't seem to make myself write my thesis. This thesis I am allegedly writing is about blogging. Yes, I read blogs. Yes, I write in a blog. But do I write about blogs for the long paper I have paid for the privilege to write? No, no, I don't.

sounds interesting, what exactly are you writing about blogs for your thesis?

I'm writing on the interaction between bloggers and their readers, specifically in political blogs.

sounds like quite an interesting topic, good luck. i'd offer some anecdotes of my experiences with political blogs, but i tend to shy away from them, i've found them to be mostly rather hostile places.

It is interesting, especially now that blogs have become political tools. Feel free to offer any thoughts you have on the matter.

This isn't 100% on point, but here's an interview you might find interesting. It's with NYU professor Jay Rosen on "citizen journalism" - basically bloggers as journalists and the interplay between blogs and traditional media outlets, i.e. newspapers. With so much of today's news stemming from politics I think you might some useful information, or at the very least some good jumping off points to ask the right questions.

We have a lot in common! I too am writing a thesis about blogs. I too hate it. And I too am blogging about the entire miserable experience! I'd love to hear how you made your way through it (assuming you indeed did finish).
